I prefer the above method and it helps to have some family and friends to sit around and chat with to pass the time. There is, however, a faster way to prepare dried garlic.
1. Place the unpeeled cloves into your dehydrator overnight to loosen the skins
2. Remove the skins and place in a food processor to achieve garlic slices
3. Place the slices back into your dehydrator and fully dry out the garlic
4. Once dry, place the dried slices in a food processor (blender works too) and process until desired consistency. Short processing results in chunks and long processing results in powder. You’ll most likely end up with a mixture of chunks and powder after a few pulses of the processor. This calls for a sieve, which, with some gentle taps can help you separate the chunks from the powder.
